• WINSOC Scientists present Research Seminars at 12 European Universities
Ms. Maneesha V Ramesh, faculty of CSE, and Brni. Rehna Raj, Research Associate from Amritapuri campus, visited various European universities. Ms. Maneesha is the lead for the European Commission funded Wireless Sensor Networks with Self-Organization Capabilities (WINSOC) project (www.winsoc.org). Maneesha has also presented the research progress at the European Commission in Belgium.

Cross Continental Experiment:
• In a unique cross continental experiment 5 final year students from Amrita and 5 students from UT Austin work on a joint project, "Enhancing OLPCs with Collaborative Multimedia Content", towards their final year thesis requirement.

The University at Buffalo
(SUNY), New York and Amrita University have started 18-month dual-MS-degree program for IT Professionals, for whic HP has deputed 80 of its mangers. This program launched successfully on July 1, 2007 at
the Amrita campus in Bangalore.Till date, 7 courses have been completed by the visiting faculty from SUNY and Amrita
for which rave reviews were recieved from all the students. Admission is now open for 2008
